Are you a shoe girl? I totally am not. While some girls have heels in all colors and styles, I have one pair of black dress shoes, one pair of brown dress shoes, 2 pairs of tennis shoes and a handful of sandals. Now, if I budgeted my money correctly, I could totally become a shoe girl. I’m drooling over Pinterest boards of boots right now. I love Fall! And I am just loving the look of knee-high boots with jeggings.
Like this pair on Taylor Swift:
But I don’t go out enough to warrant Spring and Summer dress shoes of all shapes and sizes. Now boots I can wear with jeans. I love boots. I am so glad they are in right now.
And oh man, I love this look too! Boots and dresses!
I’ll be honest, I could totally splurge on clothes. I love how I feel in brand new, super cute outfits! The other day I shopped at Maurices and bout some jeggings, pants, sweaters, a dress and a cardigan. Here’s my pile of loot – and it was all on sale!
My goal for the spring is to lose enough weight that I “have” to go shopping for new clothes! That will be my excuse….all my clothes will not fit well. Right.
Right now the trend I am just loving is a belted sweater dress. You can dress them up or down, just change the shoes and accessories!
What about make up? Do you splurge on beauty products? Not me! All my makeup fits into one cosmetic bag. I’m failing this girly-girl test right now. But seriously, I have 3 shades of eyeshadow and 3 lipsticks and 2 cheek colors. That is it besides the base and mascara. I know some people like to get top of the line makeup brush sets because certain brushes apply makeup certain ways.
And there are makeup palettes like this I dream of owning:
Then there are beauty appointments. Since my hair grows so slowly – like an inch in 4 months – Josh allows me to splurge here! I adore my hair color, so I have yet to do anything drastic color-wise. I’ve been tempted to do something like red low-lights. I tried strawberry blonde lowlights but they didn’t show up! I was a smidge disappointed that they blended in so naturally. At least I didn’t have to go get it touched up. But I love getting my hair cut. I can’t wait for it to grow longer so I can enjoy another hair appointment. That is my time. Time for me and my hairstylist to catch up. To enjoy peace and quiet and feel beautiful.
I think it is healthy to allow yourself to splurge on something for you once in awhile. So tell me, what is it that you are able to enjoy and treat yourself to?
